Date & Time:Nov 14th & 15th
The Beaufort Delta Trade Show returns to Inuvik on November 14 and 15, 2025, transforming the Midnight Sun Complex into a vibrant gathering place for entrepreneurs, Indigenous corporations, non-profits, and residents from across the North. Hosted by the Western Arctic Business Development Corporation, the event brings together people who believe in the power of local ideas and shared effort to shape the future of the Beaufort Delta’s economy.
On Friday, November 14, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., the Trade Show opens with an evening dedicated to partnership and collaboration. This portion of the event provides space for organizations to present their programs, products, and projects, and to seek common ground with potential collaborators. It’s an opportunity to meet face-to-face with others working to strengthen the North’s business landscape, exchange ideas, and lay the foundation for partnerships that extend beyond the event itself.
The opening night has earned a reputation as one of the region’s most valuable networking opportunities. Business owners, development officers, educators, and innovators gather to discuss what’s working, what’s needed, and what’s next for the Western Arctic. The atmosphere is friendly, forward-looking, and distinctly Northern—practical, hands-on, and focused on making things happen.
On Saturday, November 15, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., the Trade Show opens its doors to the public for a full afternoon of discovery. Visitors will have the chance to meet local business owners, artisans, and service providers while learning about the products and innovations being developed here at home. The exhibits reflect the diversity of the Beaufort Delta’s economy—ranging from trades and technology to tourism, education, and community development.
For residents, it’s a chance to explore what’s being created locally and to connect directly with the people behind the products. For businesses, it’s an opportunity to gain visibility, test new ideas, and showcase how Northern creativity and resilience are shaping a more connected regional economy.
“Events like the Beaufort Delta Trade Show remind us that collaboration isn’t a buzzword—it’s how we build resilient businesses in the North,” says Robert Privett of Big North Media, an Inuvik-based marketing firm. “When local owners, creators, and organizations get in the same room, opportunities multiply. Supporting these gatherings is one of the most direct ways to invest in our community and keep business momentum here in the Beaufort Delta.”
The Beaufort Delta Trade Show is about more than promoting goods and services—it’s about strengthening the relationships that sustain the North. In a region where collaboration often makes the difference between success and struggle, gatherings like this serve as an anchor point for local growth. The event fosters mentorship, connects youth with opportunity, and encourages businesses to think regionally while acting locally.
The Western Arctic Business Development Corporation has long emphasized that the Trade Show’s greatest value lies in its ability to bring people together. From early-stage entrepreneurs to seasoned industry leaders, the event offers an open space to share, listen, and grow. Each year, it helps forge the kind of partnerships that continue to define the Beaufort Delta’s collaborative economy.
Those interested in taking part are encouraged to register early, as exhibitor space is limited. Whether you’re showcasing a business, representing an organization, or attending to make new connections, there’s a place for everyone at the Trade Show. For information about registration, booth setup, or scheduling, contact the Western Arctic Business Development Corporation at generalmanager@northwestel.net or call (867) 777-2836.
Set within the welcoming atmosphere of the Midnight Sun Complex, the Beaufort Delta Trade Show continues to embody the spirit of the region—innovative, resilient, and community-driven. It’s an event that celebrates local talent, connects organizations across sectors, and strengthens the ties that make the Beaufort Delta thrive.
