Whether you’re a student exploring your next steps, a professional looking to share your skills, or a local business ready to inspire the next generation, the 2025 Beaufort Delta Career Fair is the place to be this November.
Hosted by the Department of Education, Culture & Employment (ECE) as part of National Skilled Trades and Technology Week (November 2–8, 2025), the event takes place on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the East Three Secondary School Gym.
This year’s Career Fair is all about opportunity. Local employers, tradespeople, and training organizations will come together to showcase hands-on careers and introduce students and community members to the world of apprenticeships and skilled work. The fair is designed to spark curiosity, highlight the diversity of Northern career paths, and show that meaningful, rewarding jobs are available right here in the Beaufort Delta.
Visitors can expect interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and plenty of chances to speak directly with employers and professionals in the field. From construction and trades to technology and community services, there’s something for everyone to discover.
One of the goals of the event is to make career exploration engaging and personal. Exhibitors are encouraged to bring tools, materials, and examples of their work so students can experience what the trades and technical professions look like up close. It’s an environment where questions are encouraged, and inspiration happens naturally through conversation and participation.
“The Career Fair is a bridge between curiosity and confidence,” says Robert Privett, CEO of Big North Media, a marketing and web development firm based in Inuvik. “When students can meet professionals face-to-face, the future suddenly feels real. Events like this are how communities grow their own workforce—and keep their best talent close to home.”
Local businesses and organizations are invited to take part as exhibitors. Setting up a booth is a great way to showcase your work, meet potential apprentices or employees, and share your industry knowledge with students and job seekers. There’s also an opportunity to sit on a Q&A panel or donate to the event’s door prize basket.
If your organization would like to participate, reach out to the Career Development Officers at beaufortdelta_cdo@gov.nt.ca. An event agenda and setup details will be shared closer to the date, and booth spaces with electrical access can be arranged as needed.
The 2025 Beaufort Delta Career Fair isn’t just about finding jobs—it’s about building futures. By connecting students with employers and tradespeople, the event helps young Northerners see how their skills and interests can become lifelong careers in their own communities.
It’s also a celebration of the people who make the Beaufort Delta work: the mechanics, carpenters, welders, electricians, programmers, and countless others whose trades and talents keep the region moving forward. Whether you’re an exhibitor or a visitor, this event is a chance to learn, share, and be inspired.
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at the East Three Secondary School Gym. Doors open at 10:00 a.m., and everyone is welcome—students, families, employers, and community members alike.
