Midnight Sun Complex is Inuvik’s major community facility located at 95 Gwich’in Road. It houses the Roy “Sugloo” Ipana Memorial Arena (NHL‑sized ice surface), a three-sheet curling rink with lounge, a year-round aquatic centre with a waterslide, hot tub, sauna, and steam room, along with squash courts, a gym, and community hall. The Complex also includes conference and meeting rooms, catering support, and video‑conferencing facilities. It hosts sports clubs, community rec programs, and full-scale conventions.
The facility is an important hub for community life, combining recreation, events, and tourism infrastructure. With its wide range of spaces, it is capable of hosting up to 1,200 delegates/exhibitors for conferences, while also supporting hockey, swim clubs, fitness classes, and cultural events.
